Old tree houses

Somehow I think these houses, especially the one to left, looks interesting and mysterious. The photo is taken on Vänö.

Yesterday I went biking. This is from an old garbage dump, high as a mountain, in Vuosaari. I went all the way to the top and admired a view of the whole Vuosaari.

Sunset from Lekholmen, Finland.
Yep, I’m back.

It’s a kind of simple and classic sunset picture but who doesn’t like sunset photos?

Hungry turtle

We were visiting Paavo and his wife’s house on Houtskär and they have a turtle. It was nice that it swum closer so I could get a picture of it but it didn’t come to be sociable. It thought that I would give him food. What a disappointment for it. =P

Finding shells

I have been for the last 5 days to a camp on Houtskär, Finland where I was a leader to the children. It was interesting and funny. The interesting part was that before the camp I didn’t like children very much. I was a bit worried because I didn’t have any experience of children. Me myself was just making it complicated. I didn’t know how to act around children. But it’s not complicated at all, you don’t have to act at all because you’re just yourself. They’re so spontaneous and full of life and they have nothing to worry about. Now after the camp I think they’re so cute even if they can be very noisy sometimes…

The funny part is also that a few of the children only spoke Finnish and I speak veryveryvery bad Finnish. But they didn’t care of I said something grammatically wrong or said wrong words, they understood me and I understood them even if I didn’t had to talk very much! It’s not embarrassing to be quiet around kids like it’s around adults. I liked that.

This is my new friends Derin and Aija at the beach finding shells. Derin is the little girl and Aija is from Latvia :)

Picnic on Sveaborg

I went to Suomenlinna (Sveaborg in Swedish) with some friends. Suomenlinna is a small group of islands and it was a place for the Swedish army, later for Finnish army too. But now days it’s a place for the Finnish people and tourists.

It’s a very beautiful place, there’s many signs left from the wars, though. I didn’t had the time to take as many photos I wanted.

Down in a tunnel which was built by the army.

From Sweden with love

This is Håkan Hellström from a festival called Helsingin satamafestivaali or From Sweden with love at Kauppatori, Helsinki (2008-06-11).

I didn’t bring my DSLR camera because of the bad weather so I had my old Samsung Digimax L50. And if I would have taken my DSLR I would just have taking photos, not enjoying the music :P
Also I didn’t bring my DSLR to the concert because I was afraid to get it destroyed or stolen.

I saw Sahara Hotnights and Anna Järvinen as well. It was a nice evening! The weather could have been better. It rained most of the time but it didn’t destroy the show!

Stop

They’re building a park in front of our house. Well, it’s nice. But the only thing is that I have to wake up in the morning hearing that annoying sound that the trucks and tractors make. grr
